NEWLETTER 2007-2008 Season:
Welcome from the President
It's that time of the year that we all look forward to again, fall
is here and that means snow is just around the corner. We have some
new problems on our trail system that the club officers are trying
to work out. We have lost several sections of our trail due to various
problems and we are trying to work on re-routing some of the system.
If and when we get these problems resolved, it will involve a lot
of work and we will need help from all club members and your snowmobiling
friends. We can't do this alone, we will need your help so be sure
to attend the club meeting to get the latest information. If this
is not possible, please give one of the officers a call to let them
know you can help. We look forward to a great year for the club
and your snowmobiling enjoyment.
Please join the club and get involved. Encourage your non-member
friends to join and get involved. The club needs the support of
all local snowmobiles to be able to provide enjoyable snowmobiling
close to home. Don't assume that someone else will do all the work.
Most riders (and possibly some club members) do not understand that
the DNR only gives monetary support for supplies and equipment.
The DNR does not pay - nor do they supply the labor involved - for
trail setup, marking, grooming, and maintenance. The club membership
provides all the labor without pay. Groomer operator volunteers
work many nights while they could be enjoying the fresh snow on
their sleds, but are instead running the groomers so the rest of
us have great smooth trails. Please keep this in mind when the trails
get rough, or we lose trails. If you would like to be involved or
help with any of the club's activities, please call the respective
chair person and any club officer to help out.
Thank you all for your past support, and I look forward to seeing
you at the club meetings this year, and on the trails as we get
into the snow season!
