WEST TRIP 2008
- Tentative March 1ST-8TH
As the fall season approaches, many of us begin to think about winter,
snowmobiling, putting in trails, and planning winter trips. The
club has a couple of trips planned. We (Kristy & Norm) are presently
working on a trip west and have a few places in mind. We need to
make the decision quickly so that we can book airline arrangements
and lodging. We are considering the week of Feb 23- March 1, 2008
or March 1-8, 2008. Cost will be approximately $1,200.00 to $1,300.00
depending on where we go. This includes airfare, transportation
from airport to resort/motel, shipping of your sled and gear.
One of the places we are thinking about is Togwotee Mountain Lodge
near Jackson, Wyoming. However, the lodging is more expensive and
as of right now, they are not offering us any discounted prices.
The least expensive option would be West Yellowstone, Montana. Photos
from Yellowstone 2006 We have gone there the past 2 years, and
some of our travelers would like to try someplace new. Another option
would be Rich Ranch near Seely Lake, Montana. We went there for
8 years. This is a first class guest ranch and the family that operates
it is wonderful.
The semi trailer we used in the past has taken it's last trip.
We are looking to replace it. It will take a lot of work to convert
a trailer into a snowmobile hauling trailer, but with some help
from out members, we should get it done.
For those of you that have never ridden in the mountains, I would
encourage you to try it. The scenery and snowfall are usually great,
and you will find mountain riding as easy or difficult as you desire.
The memories are unforgettable!!
If you would be interested in going "Out West", just
give us a call at 269-663-2109. A deposit of $100 will hold your
spot. Hope to hear from you soon!!
